With summer I always find I have a desire to update my wardrobe, to have something bright and new. Ragged seems to fit in fall and winter, but spring and summer call for crisp newness. One of the best crisp newnesses is the crisp newness of a linen or cotton suit - unfortunately, to get a good one is expensive. As an alternative, I recommend a cotton, linen, or cotton/linen blend sport coat - it's as flexible, light, dressy, but casual.
